Light energy reaching earth from the sun is classified into ultraviolet wave, visible wave, and infrared wave. Humans recognize the color of an object with their eyesight when the surface of the body absorbs or reflects the visible wave. At the same time the absorption of infrared wave is one cause of rising surface temperature. Everybody has experienced that “when one touches a black object under a sunny sky in mid-summer, it feels hot.” The pigment which can try as much as possible to keep the surface temperature from rising by reflecting infrared light is called infrared reflect pigment. In particular, infrared reflect complex inorganic color pigment is an advanced pigment that also has the superior functions of CICP (weather-proof, heat-resistant and chemical-proof characteristics).
